Megadeth Play First Show Since Dave Mustaine’s Cancer Diagnosis, Footage Available


Megadeth hit the stage today, January 20th, for their first live show since their vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine underwent treatment for cancer last year. Mustaine spent much of 2019 focused on his health after revealing this past June that he had been diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma on base of his tongue. He subsequently underwent radiation treatment for it and began the rehabilitation process this past fall.

For their first show back, the band played the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland as part of Megadeth‘s ongoing tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Bad Wolves. The setlist, according to those in attendance today, ran as follows:
