Red Hot Chili Peppers Working On New Album With John Frusciante


Having recently gone public with the return of guitarist John Frusciante to the fold, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are moving forward with creating new material for an upcoming record. Speaking briefly about the band’s plans in an interview with regarding his ongoing work in the world of visual art, offering:

“I was given strict orders for this interview: ‘DON’T TALK ABOUT THE BAND.’ But, yes, John is back in the band, and everyone knows that. We’re psyched. The festivals are the only shows booked. For now, we’ll mostly be concentrating on new songs and writing a new record. We’re all real excited to make new music.”

You can see Smith indulging in his more recent artistic endeavors below. His newest collection, ‘The Art Of Chad Smith’, is currently on display at the Russell Collection Fine Art Gallery in Austin, TX and he’ll be in attendance on January 11th & 12th.
