Dave Lombardo Won’t Be Joining Slayer At Their Final Shows

Slayer will bring their career to a close bythe end of the month and they will do so without any involvement from a pivotal former member. Admittedly, the band’s ex-drummer Dave Lombardo, didn’t part ways with the band on the best of terms back in 2013. As such, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he won’t be appearing at any of the band’s final dates, having already been booked with commitments with Suicidal Tendencies.

Speaking to WRIF, Lombardo was recently asked if he had any plans of joining up with Slayer for a final send-off. He replied:

“No. Come on, man. No. [Laughs] Yeah, no. I think I have a show on that day. I’m playing Knotfest in Mexico City [with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES], then heading over to El Salvador and playing another festival. I’m onstage.”

Slayer‘s final leg of their farewell tour finds them out with Primus, Ministry and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals and will conclude as follows:

11/24 Spokane, WA – Spokane Arena (Tickets)
11/26 Oakland, CA – Oracle Arena (Tickets)
