Abbath have now cancelled the remainder of their South American tour, citing health issues. The band put out the below statement on the matter:
“It is with heavy heart that we have to announce the cancellation of the remainder of the Abbath South American Outstrider tour. Due to health issues that need to be treated, we are unable to complete the last shows in Argentina and Brazil. We deeply apologize to all of our fans that wanted to come and see us, to the local promoters, and to Matrix Entertainment who has worked tirelessly in order to make this tour happen. We hope we can make it up to all you some day. We are very sorry.

Abbath frontman Abbath Doom Occulta (aka Olve Eikemo) appears to have indulged a bit too much before his set in Buenos Aires, Argentina last night, November 13th. After various stumbles, the show was cut some two songs into the set, leaving some fans in attendance angry and demanding refunds. To add insult to injury, The band were said to have only delivered partial performances of those two songs. Abbath guitarist ‘Raud’ Ole André Farstad is said to have not even bothered taking to the stage at the show, perhaps due Eikemo‘s condition.
