Drowning Pool & Mushroomhead To Replace DevilDriver On Static-X, Etc. Tour

DevilDriver have officially vacated their slot on the final leg of Static-X‘s “Wisconsin Death Trip” 20th anniversary tour. The decision came about as a result of the wife of DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara having recently been diagnosed with cancer. Fafara commented of that:

“Hello everyone, My wife has been diagnosed with cancer. I will be staying home to care for her and be by her side every minute as she begins her Cancer fight with surgery and further treatments. Apologies to all but I’m sure you all understand that family comes before work. We thank you for all your well wishes at this time.”

According to Fafara, she underwent a major surgery related to the disease yesterday (October 23rd) afternoon. In light of DevilDriver‘s absence on the bill, Drowning Pool and Mushroomhead will now be joining select dates of Static-X‘s aforementioned run. Dope, Wednesday 13 and Raven Black will also appear on the trek. It was not made clear as to which shows Drowning Pool and Mushroomhead will be playing as of yet.

You can find the dates for the run below with tickets available here. Static-X themselves have been performing with a frontman identified as ‘Xer0‘ in place of their late frontman Wayne Static on the run. The mystery musician behind the mask is widely thought to be Dope frontman Edsel Dope, with estranged ex-Static-X member Tripp Eisen recently confirming the news.
