Black Label Society, Obituary & Lord Dying Tour Announced & Reportedly Cancelled Shortly After

In a somewhat bizarre development, earlier today (October 01st) a North American tour featuring the lineup for Black Label Society, Obituary and Lord Dying was revealed and seemingly cancelled shortly afterwards. While a press release doesn’t appear to have circulated via official channels, the run was revealed to commence on December 06th in California before heading north, running coast to coast in Canada with tickets to go on sale this Friday, October 04th.

While pre-sale listings are still up at select venues via Live Nation as of press time, it appears the trek was scrapped with Lord Dying having shared the below update this afternoon:

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen sudden circumstances beyond our control, this tour is no longer happening.”

Dates for the apparently cancelled run include:

12/06 Santa Ana, CA – The Observatory (no Obituary) (feat. Thrown Into Exile)
12/07 San Francisco, CA – The Warfield (no Obituary) (feat. Exodus)
12/08 Eugene, OR – McDonald Theater
12/09 Vancouver, BC – The Vogue Theater
12/11 Grande Prairie, AB – Bowes Event Centre
12/12 Edmonton, AB – Midway Bar
12/13 Calgary, AB – MacEwan Hall
12/14 Saskatoon, SK – Coors Event Centre
12/15 Winnipeg, MB – Burton Cummings Theater
12/17 Milwaukee, WI – Riverside Theater
12/19 Ottawa, ON – Bronson Centre Theatre
12/20 Quebec City, QC – Grand Theatre
12/21 Moncton, NB – Casino New Brunswick

Black Label Society‘s current label situation has a potential question mark around it as their latest home of eOne Music was acquired by U.S. toy company Hasbro this past August. It is currently unclear what plans Hasbro has for the label, which was acquired as part of a larger deal involving eOne‘s overall assets.
