Though the album cycle for Killswitch Engage‘s eighth studio album “Atonement” is in full swing, frontman Jesse Leach has been making the most of his recent downtime from the road. In addition to recently tracking a cameo for the upcoming Jasta record, another of his projects, the hardcore/punk-leaning The Weapon, are closing in on fishing up their first official release.
Leach commented of that via Instagram:
“Angry, fast, socially aware, hardcore punk? Yeah we got that @theweaponnyc! We are a few weeks away from completing all of the tracking for our first official release! In the meantime check out 2 demos on Band Camp (link in bio above). Give a follow on our page and stay tuned. This band is the real deal and will definitely scratch your itch if you dig fist raising protest anthems! .
Stay tuned .

The Weapon also features guitarist Chris Drapeau, bassist Josh Mihlek and drummer Andy Mass among their lineup.
