“Every claim that has been made about me privately and publicly is 100% false. Not only are these claims 100% false, this has been premeditated.”

He goes on to state that two unspecified people are allegedly behind the incident, and states “the truth is gonna come out and it’s going to weigh a ton and people will have to answer this.”

To support his claims he also shared the below image, which he states is now evidence in the police report on his arrest. It appears to show a text from someone involved with the woman stating that the domestic battery charge was a setup against him:

Original Story:

Ill Niño vocalist Cristian Machado was arrested for allegedly assaulting his spouse in Temecula, CA on August 09th. Arrest records show that he was released on $5,000 bail on August 10th and is due to appear in court again on October 07th.

The incident follows accusations of domestic violence being leveled against Machado by his former Ill Niño bandmate Dave Chavarri as part an ongoing legal dispute over the band’s trademarks. Notably both the arrest record and the lawsuit filed against Machado by Chavarri list his birth name as Christian rather than ‘Cristian‘.

Included in the documents filed by Chavarri was a copy of a domestic violence related restraining order filed against Machado by his spouse, with whom he has a child. That restraining order request was filed in December of 2018.

Allegations of Machado participating in a handful of incidents of physical and verbal abuse against the woman were also mentioned in the documents filed by Chavarri. The group have currently split into two camps warring over the Ill Niño trademarks with Dave Chavarri and bassist Lazaro Pina on one side and Machado and guitarists Ahrue Luster & Diego Verduzco on the other.
