Papa Roach & Asking Alexandria Accused Of Lifting Video Game Artwork For Dallas Show Ad (Updated)

Update August 02nd, 2019 07:01 PM:

Papa Roach have since confirmed to that they had no involvement in the creation of the show poster mentioned below and that it was the work of someone outside of their camp without their knowledge.

Original Story:

Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria were recently called out by fans for allegedly stealing artwork from a video game titled ‘Monster Prom‘ to advertise their July 27th show at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas, TX. The artwork in question (see below) is taken from a poster for the aforementioned game done by Ástor Alexander.

As the artwork doesn’t appear on the actual admat for the tour however, it seems more likely that a graphic designer employed by the venue or a local promoter is responsible for the offending admat, rather than the bands. That’s a potential explanation which Julián Quijano, of the development studio behind ‘Monster Prom‘ feels is the case, recently commenting as much on the matter to Kotaku.

Still, it’s not the only time this month that Papa Roach have been accused of lifting something from someone without credit, as their recent viral Donald Trump tweet drew some complaints over where it originated from.
