July 27th, 2019 marked the 20th anniversary of the release of Machine Head‘s 1999 deep dive into nü metal, “The Burning Red“. In light of the anniversary, the group have shared a retrospective piece on the record, featuring various photos and tidbits about the record and its touring cycle.
Among some of the info offered is Gary Holt (Slayer/Exodus) trying out for the band, word on a rift between the group and Slipknot that developed at the time, Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext making a cameo in the band’s “From This Day” music video and more.
