Filter frontman Richard Patrick has revealed “They Got Us Right Where They Want Us, At Each Other’s Throats” as the title of the band’s next album. Patrick revealed the title to Loudwire following the news of the band’s plans to scrap their “reBus” album.
Originally Patrick had reunited with early Filter guitarist Brian Liesegang to craft a spiritual successor of sorts to their platinum selling 1995 debut album “Short Bus“. The group had enlisted crowdfunding site PledgeMusic to fund the outing, which they had titled “reBus“, but with that platform recently collapsing, the pair have since put their plans on hold.
Some songs from those apparent sessions may still appear on “They Got Us Right Where They Want Us, At Each Other’s Throats” however as Patrick revealed that three songs he wrote with Liesegang (“Murica“, “Thoughts And Prayers” and “(Command-Z) High As A Muv’ Fucka“) are tentatively set for the record.
In the more immediate future for the band is the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of “Title Of Record“, which will hit stores on August 09th with bonus tracks. More details on that can be found here.
