Lamb Of God's Chris Adler

Lamb Of God Officially Part Ways With Drummer Chris Adler, Confirm Replacement

Lamb Of God have officially parted ways with drummer Chris Adler and announced Winds Of Plague‘s Art Cruz as his official replacement. Adler had  been absent from the band since last July, having stated that injuries from a previous motorcycle accident were the reason for his time away from the band.

Cruz has been filling in since with the band now issuing the following statement on Cruz‘s new permanent role earlier today, July 19th:

“Dear Lamb of God fans,

We returned last week from a great European festival run and our final tour with Slayer in North America. We are excited to keep the momentum going and dive into the next record.

We’d like to officially welcome Art Cruz, who has been playing drums with us on tour for the last year, as the new drummer of Lamb of God. Art will be joining us in the studio as we begin pre-production and recording of a new album.

We’re very proud of everything this band has accomplished over the last two decades. We would like to thank Chris Adler for his contributions over the years and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Thank you,

John, Mark, Randy & Willie

Since originally stepping down from the band Adler has been busying himself with his management company Kintsugi Management and his artwork. Adler will return to the stage later this year overseas as part of an all-star jam band packaged called ‘Hail! Rockstar Extravaganza‘.

Exodus vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza, Vio-lence/ex-Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel and former Megadeth, etc. bassist James LoMenzo will be joining him on that run.
