Adler‘s rep has since contacted TMZ, clarifying that the injury was the result of an ‘accident’ and not a suicide attempt. The representative also confirmed that the wound was only ‘superficial’ and that Adler would not be missing any upcoming dates to it. Furthermore, they also relayed that Adler, who has a long history of substance abuse problems, remains sober.

TMZ are reporting that ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler was rushed to a Los Angeles, CA hospital tonight (June 27th) after allegedly stabbing himself. According to TMZ, a 911 call was placed from his Los Angeles, CA home to report the injury with police and an EMTs arriving shortly after at the scene. The stab wound is said to be in his stomach region and is not expected to be life-threatening. TMZ have been told that no one else is suspected to have been involved with the incident.
