Red Fang Release “Antidote” Video Via New Headbanging Video Game

Red Fang have premiered a new music video for their track “Antidote“, but it comes with a unique catch. The clip has premiered via a game called ‘Red Fang: Headbang!‘ which tracks the movement—in this case headbanging—of the viewer. Should you decide not to headbang, the band will perish, with three alternate endings included. The game sports a retro 16-bit motif similar to early entries in the ‘Mortal Kombat‘ video game series and was developed and directed by Wieden+Kennedy‘s Ansel Wallenfang, who commented:

“‘Red Fang: Headbang‘ is a culmination of everything I’ve wasted my life on—metal, arcades, and a warped sense of humor. It’s really a love letter to my childhood and all the things that make me, me.”

The band’s vocalist/guitarist Bryan Giles added:

“When Ansel Wallenfang first approached us with his video concept we all thought he was crazy! A year or so later we still think he’s crazy, but the video turned out amazing! We’re over the moon about it!”

Composer Disasterpeace wrote the game’s intro and outro while High On Fire‘s Matt Pike and comedian Brian Posehn both contributed to the game’s development. You can find the game now via the Google Play store and the App Store with more details available at
