HELLYEAH Set September Release For New Album “Welcome Home”, Reveal U.S. Tour

HELLYEAH have revealed both the title and a new release date for their upcoming sixth studio album. The effort has been christened “Welcome Home” and will now see a September 27th release through Eleven Seven Music. The effort was previously planned to hit stores on June 28th.

It features the final studio recordings of their late drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, who passed away last June due to heart-related issues. Following the already released first single “333“, a video for the title track will debut this coming Friday, May 17th.

This past weekend saw the band celebrate the life of Abbott with their first live show since his passing. Stone Sour‘s Roy Mayorga filled in on drums for that Las Vegas performance with a portion of the proceeds from the show donated to the The American Heart Association in Paul‘s honor. May 11th was also officially declared ‘Vinnie Paul Day‘ by the Clark County Board of Commissioners.

The band will be heading out on a U.S. tour this July and August with the dates available below. The trek is being billed as ‘Celebrating The Life Of Vinnie Paul‘ and the band’s bassist Kyle Sanders commented of returning to the road:

“While Vinnie Paul is obviously irreplaceable, one thing we can’t not do is tour. As easy as it would be to say we’re not going on the road, we have to. Vinnie would be extremely disappointed in us if we didn’t promote this record properly.

He’d be pissed off at all of us for putting all this work into finishing the record and then just letting it sit there on the shelf while we put a couple of songs to radio and whatever…and we know that.”
