Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has announced that he is set to undergo surgery on both of his knees today, May 10th. He shared the below pre-op picture from the hospital. By his own admission, the wear and tear of Slipknot‘s chaotic live performances earlier in their career have taken their toll on Taylor over the years. He previously cited an injury suffered during one particular performance as being a key factor in why he had to undergo spinal surgery back in 2016.
It would seem that the surgery may not be too serious as Slipknot are scheduled to perform on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘ next Friday, May 17th. The band’s new album is presently headed for an August 09th release date.
