Heavy ‘nedal’ band Okilly Dokilly‘s years of ‘The Simpsons‘ worship paid off this past Sunday, April 07th, when their video for “White Wine Spritzer” appeared during the closing credit’s of the program’s 659th episode. Rollingstone.com caught up with ‘The Simpsons‘ showrunner Al Jean, who commented of the inclusion of the band’s track:
“We saw the video and knew they had to be on the show. We do not endorse their message of indiscriminate drinking of white wine spritzers.”

As for the band themselves, the group’s Head Ned commented to the aforementioned publication of the honor:
“I’m very much in disbelief. It’s like this is just a strange alternate universe and I’m gonna wake up the next day and it’s just like, ‘No, you didn’t start the Ned Flanders band, you still work in accounting.’ And I’ll be like, ‘Well alright, at least my imagination knows how to have a good time.’”
The group have the following shows booked in support of their latest release, “Howdilly Twodilly“, which hit stores late last month.
