Reunited Static-X Show Off New Touring Vocalist, Reveal New European/UK, Australian And North American Tours

0

Static-X have announced more touring for their “Project Regeneration” album and have also shared some more audio/video of their as-yet unannounced fill-in for late frontman/guitarist Wayne Static (rumors have been circulating that it’s Dope frontman Edsel Dope) . You can hear that preview below The band’s former bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay reunited last year to pay tribute to Wayne and have been putting together an album titled “Project Regeneration” with his final studio recordings and special guests.

They’ll also be touring this year in support of the record and the 20th anniversary of the band’s platinum selling debut, “Wisconsin Death Trip“. New tours in Europe, the UK, Australia and a new Pacific Northwest leg in North America have now been announced for their plans. The band commented of that:

“Everyone wants to know who will be singing and how we will be pulling off the material live…. Well, here it is. Watch this video and you will see and hear exactly what we will be doing on the tour.

For us, the goal was 100% about recapturing the vibe and the spirit of Static-X. We were never interested in using a hologram or using Wayne’s pre-recorded vocals. It has to be real and it has to have a soul and a pulse.

Static-X has always been four guys. Two guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. We didn’t want to mess with that formula. This is the most electric version of Wisconsin Death Trip 2.0 that we can imagine, without actually having Wayne here with us.

We look forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Wisconsin Death Trip‘ with you all, as we pay our respects to Wayne each night around the world.”
