Faith No More’s Mike Patton To Take Part In Upcoming Chris Cornell Tribute Show, Will Sing National Anthem At NFL Game (Updated)

It has since been announced that Mike Patton will be singing the U.S. national anthem during tomorrow’s (January 12th) NFL playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA.

Mike Patton of Faith No More, Dead Cross, etc. fame is the latest guest to announce their involvement in the upcoming Chris Cornell tribute show set to take place next week. That event has been christened ‘I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell‘ and will be held at the Los Angeles Forum in Inglewood, CA on January 16th, 2019.

It will find Cornell‘s former bandmates in Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog and Audioslave hitting the stage to celebrate the life and legacy of Cornell at the event. Members of the Foo Fighters, Metallica as well as Ryan Adams, are also due to perform while Jimmy Kimmel and special guests will host the event.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. A self-titled Chris Cornell career retrospective collection was released this past November. Cornell tragically took his own life back in May of 2017.
