Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has premiered his new track “Cross Off” which features a guest appearance from late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. Morton previously spoke of working with Bennington on the track, offering:
“I was really impressed for a guy at his level, at the place in the career he was at, someone of his stature and celebrity, to have that level of humility and commitment to come in there and treat this like it would be a Linkin Park song, or his own song or whatever.

Trivium‘s Paolo Gregoletto and Alex Bent handled the bass and drums respectively on the track, while Jake Oni of Oni also collaborated. Morton has since said the sessions of the song were “a very free flowing and natural process. We both really loved the song from its inception and everyone that worked on it put a lot of energy and emotion into it. I feel like you can really hear that in the track, and absolutely in Chester’s performance.”
The song is taken from Morton‘s forthcoming solo debut, “Anesthetic“, which is headed for a March 01st release. That outing will feature numerous guest performers, including members of Megadeth, Papa Roach, Testament and more.
