The Recording Academy have announced that Black Sabbath are among the artists set to receive a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award at the 2019 ‘GRAMMY Awards‘. An official awards ceremony for the lifetime achievement awards is expected to be held in Los Angeles, CA on May 11th, 2019. It is presently unclear if the pioneering heavy metal band, who called it quits in 2017, will be present to receive the award.
Other artists set to receive a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award at the ceremony include George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, Sam & Dave, Dionne Warwick and Billy Eckstine.
