Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton Details New Solo Album & Streams First Single, Chester Bennington Among Album Guests (Updated)

Morton has since revealed that the project started as an idea between himself and Jake Oni of Oni with the latter co-writing and producing. Producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God, Gojira) was also involved in the co-writing, recording, mixing and production of the outing. Speaking of the project, Morton offered:

“This album wasn’t a concerted effort to start something outside Lamb Of God. Music is always in my head, and until I write and record it, it’s stuck there. But once I record it, it’s out. It’s a catharsis, more for my own sanity.”

Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has announced a March 01st release date for his new solo album, “Anesthetic” via Spinefarm. That outing will feature numerous guest appearances, including one from late Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington.

A first single from the album has been launched below. That song, “The Truth Is Dead“, features guest turns from Morton‘s Lamb Of God bandmate, vocalist Randy Blythe, as well as Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz.
