Oli Herbert Of All That Remains

The Public Memorial For Late All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Has Been Cancelled (Updated)

Update November 08th, 2018 11:52 AM:

It turns out that Herbert‘s widow Elizabeth vented her concerns about the public memorial on social media a day prior to it being cancelled, with the following post having been shared on November 06th:

“About Oli‘s public memorial this coming weekend; It’s about OLI and honoring OLI, and if anybody showing up to act stupid or cause a scene because they believe that their grief/slight/’injustice” isn’t being acknowledged properly, you will be escorted out immediately.

My husband’s career and accomplishments were HIS, they didn’t exist for any of you hangers-on or wanna-be’s to go making a name for yourself on his merits or “jumping the dues-payment” line because he was kind enough to do a guest solo for your garage band. His endorsements were HIS achievements, not your opportunity to cut your teeth and make what should’ve been his finest moments into a clusterfucked shit show.

And as far as all of his self-proclaimed newly acquired ‘closest friends”, how many of you fucktards would’ve given a rat’s ass in a trap about my husband if he wasn’t famous? Oli may have been willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I see right through you bastards and always have. And as far as I’m concerned, every goddamned last one of you can go fuck yourselves all the way into the deepest depths of hell! You’re all a bunch of coattail-riding, ruthlessly ambitious, opportunistic parasites who didn’t deserve to even meet Oli, let alone get “close” to him.”

Presumably some of her anger was directed towards a group of fans who call themselves ‘Justice For Oli Herbert‘. Posts on that Facebook page have been making some unfounded accusations against Elizabeth regarding Oli and her behavior around his passing. Before you dig in to that though, it should be noted that an initial police report on Herbert‘s death found the authorities stating that his passing did not appear to be suspicious.
