Last night, October 28th, saw We Came As Romans and various friends unite to pay tribute to the life of the band’s late vocalist Kyle Pavone. That show was held at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI and found the band joined by members of I Prevail, Memphis May Fire, August Burns Red, Hollywood Undead and more.
It also saw For Today reunite to cover “Tear It Down” and former We Came As Romans drummer Eric Choi return for “To Plant A Seed“. The setlist for the night, according to those in attendance, ran as follows:
“Vultures With Clipped Wings”
“Wasted Age” (feat. Eric Vanlerberghe of I Prevail)
“Ghosts”
“Lost In The Moment” (feat. Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire)
“Broken Statues”
“To Plant A Seed” (feat. Eric Choi)
“Tear It Down” (performed by For Today)
“Mis//Understanding” (feat. Jess Ess)
“Regenerate” (feat. Joe Buras of Born Of Osiris)
“Fade Away” (feat. Andy Leo of Crown The Empire)
“The World I Used to Know” (feat. Cody Carson of Set It Off)
“Encoder” (feat. Gabe Helguera of I Prevail & Nick Sampson)
“Tracing Back Roots” (feat. Jake Luhrs)
“Cold Like War” (feat. Daniel “Danny” Murillo of Hollywood Undead)
“Foreign Fire”
“Promise Me”
“Hope”
Friends and family also spoke of Pavone and shared tales of their time together during the night. Billboard were on hand and have transcribed some of what Pavone‘s bandmates and parents had to say at the event. You can check out that piece over at Billboard.com.
Fan-filmed live footage of For Today‘s aforementioned live reunion to cover We Came As Romans‘ “Tear It Down” at the show can be found below. Pavone passed away on August 25th, 2018 as a result of what the band themselves described as an ‘accidental overdose.’ The Kyle Pavone Foundation has been launched in the weeks since his death and all proceeds from this concert will go towards the foundation.
