Kat Katz Quits Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Says She’s “Tired Of Being Bullied By Dudes”

Vocalist Kat Katz has exited Agoraphobic Nosebleed, citing issues with bullying and not being treated as an equal among her concerns. In a statement issued this afternoon, she stated:

“Tired of being bullied by dudes. Salome and now Agoraphobic Nosebleed.

I quit Agoraphobic Nosebleed tonight. Hopefully, I find a band that respects me and treats me as an equal.”

She had appeared on several releases with the band, including their most recent EP, 2016’s “Arc“. That particular EP was tailored towards Katz‘s vision and served as the first of a planned trilogy of releases that would shine a light on different members of the band’s tastes.

The band themselves have issued the following statement on the matter:

“News update: We’ve had some disagreements with Kat about how we should interact in the band, and as a result she quit. We wish her well with music in the future.

Scott has some writing and recording to wrap up with Pig Destroyer, and after that he’ll start writing music for the next ANb record.”
