One of All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert‘s final interviews—if not his final interview—was published earlier this week. Herbert guested on the ‘RocknRoll Beer Guy Podcast‘ around a week prior to his death on October 16th. A cause of death for the 44-year-old Herbert has yet to be revealed, though an official statement described his death as an ‘accident’ with an initial police report stating that his body was found in a pond near his property.
In the interview, Herbert spoke enthusiastically about the band’s forthcoming new album, “Victim Of The New Disease“, out November 09th. He also touched on politics, how playing a show with Metallica was on his bucket list and more. He also spoke of his dalliances with Satanism in his teenage years, his distaste for nü metal and more. In a tragic twist, Herbert explained towards the end of the interview that he had just lost a close friend of his and was in a daze due to mourning him at the time.
