Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J Speaks On Shaggy 2 Dope’s Ill-Fated Attempt At Dropkicking Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst

Violent J, one half of Insane Clown Posse, has spoken on the ill-fated dropkick attempt that his Insane Clown Posse bandmate Shaggy 2 Dope tried to deliver on Limp Bizkit‘s Fred Durst a few weeks back. The infamous kick took place during the aforementioned two bands time at the ‘Rock Allegiance‘ festival in Camden, NJ on October 06th. If you’ve somehow missed footage of that, you can find it here.

Limp Bizkit‘s DJ Lethal went on a tirade online in the day after the kick, calling Shaggy 2 Dope a “bitch ass clout chaser” and more before the beef was eventually dropped, thanks to The Iron Sheik. Speaking with the The Orange County Register, Violent J said of Shaggy 2 Dope‘s actions that night:

“Well, you know, just wild style. Fred Durst is a friend of ours, you know what I mean? Just having fun. Things look so crazy when they get into the news wire. He obviously threw it as a fake thing. If he actually wanted to hit him I don’t think he would have thrown a pro wrestling dropkick. It probably would have looked a lot more serious and ruthless.”

As for Violent J‘s comments above about pro wrestling, both himself and Shaggy 2 Dope have had a long history with professional wrestling that included a stint in the WCW, their own JCW league and more.
