Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan has revealed to Des Moines Register that the band are working on an tenth anniversary reissue of “All Hope Is Gone” that will feature bonus material. That platinum selling album turned ten on August 20th of this year. When asked of a potential 20th anniversary celebration for the band’s 2x multi-platinum 1999 major label debut, he replied “Oh, for sure.” Diving in further on how he viewed anniversary projects with more corporate/commercial intentions, he commented:

“I’m in a band and I can’t stand that. But now, I’m like ‘wow.’ For instance, I’m working for ‘All Hope Is Gone,’ …and what I’m doing is I’m using the stuff I would’ve never approved. Now I can look at it and go, ‘Wow. The fans need to see this.’”

Slipknot have been demoing new material for their next album in recent months and have previously expressed their plans to enter the studio early next year to begin tracking it.
