Motörhead's Lemmy

Hear Late Motörhead Frontman Lemmy Guest On Leaders Of Down’s “Paradise Turned Into Dust”

The legendary late Motörhead vocalist/bassist Lemmy Kilmister appears on two tracks of the forthcoming Leaders Of Down album, “Cascade Into Chaos“. That band was in part spearheaded in part by former Motörhead guitarist Michael “Würzel” Burston, who himself passed away in July of 2011.

Kilmister, who passed in 2015, isn’t the only other member of Motörhead fame to guest on the effort, as the band’s late guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke appears on two tracks: “Snakebite” and “Laugh At The Devil” as well. Kilmister also appears on the latter track too. Additionally, late Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell guests on “Children Of Disease“—a song which also features Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe, etc. fame.

Burston‘s bandmate Tim Atkinson completed the album in the wake of Würzel‘s passing and commented of its upcoming release:

“It is a very bittersweet feeling now that the album is being released. It feels very strange without Würzel being here, and I know he would be thrilled with the final result. It was a real pleasure writing with Würzel, as we instinctively knew what both of us were thinking when we put our ideas forward.

We always wanted Lemmy to sing on ‘Paradise Turned Into Dust‘, and it was a very emotional session in Los Angeles when Lemmy completed the track and I just wish that Würz had been there to see it. It was amazing that so many friends helped us to finish the album with guest appearances and I can only thank them from the bottom of my heart.

To hear Phil playing with Würzel again was absolutely fantastic.”

Cascade Into Chaos” will be released on September 28th through Cleopatra Records.
