Rob Zombie On Upcoming New Album: “It’s The Best Record We’ve Made”

Rob Zombie has shared some more insight on what to expect on his forthcoming seventh studio album. During a recent chat with Loudwire, he once again confirmed the album will arrive in early 2019, stating:

“The record’s done. It’ll get out next year, early next year. I think this and so do the guys in the band — I think it’s the best record we’ve made. Parts of it are the heaviest, parts are the weirdest, it’s the most complex record we’ve ever made, but at the same time it’s always very catchy and listenable, but it’s the most intricately structured record.

I know everybody says, ‘Oh, our new record’s the best record. Blah, blah, blah.’ No one gives a shit. I never want to look at things like, ‘Oh, you know, the best shit we did was long ago.’ A lot of bands these days have given up on making records it seems. I don’t understand that.”

Speaking of the songs themselves, he added:

“There are those songs that go in a direction we’ve never even gone near before. Personally, I like records that are very varied in sound. Not just like, ‘Oh, here’s 12 super heavy tracks,’ and they’re all the same tempo. I like records that are all over the place. That’s why I think my favorite Beatles record was always ‘The White Album‘, because it was all over the place.”

Zombie once again worked with producer/mixer, etc. Zeuss (Hatebreed, All That Remains) on the effort with mixing sessions for it having taken place last month. Zombie is currently out on the road with Marilyn Manson on the ‘Twins Of Evil Tour‘.
