Megadeth Streaming Re-Mixed/Remastered Version Of “The Skull Beneath The Skin”


A newly remastered version of Megadeth‘s “The Skull Beneath The Skin” has been made available to stream online below. It is taken from the newly re-mixed and remastered deluxe edition of the band’s 1985 debut album, “Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good!“. This second expanded edition of the album is titled “Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good – The Final Kill” and will the final one, according to frontman/guitarist Dave Mustaine.

Among other things, the expanded release features a new mix done by Mark Lewis (Trivium, Cannibal Corpse) and has been remastered by Ted Jensen (Green Day, Mastodon). The stream debuted over at, who are also running a new interview with Mustaine. During that conversation, Mustaine reveals that the dispute over songwriting credits between him and his former band Metallica have yet to be resolved, thus a planned reissue of Metallica‘s “No Life ‘Til Leather” remains shelved. Mustaine said of that:

“I don’t think that’s going to happen. We talked about it a little bit, and there are certain things about the way [Metallica drummer] Lars [Ulrich] wants things to go down, and it’s just not going to happen. They want to say things happened one way, and it didn’t happen that way. I can’t go along with that. I can’t fabricate stuff.”

Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good – The Final Kill” will be released on June 08th through Century Media.
