Depending on your internet travels, you may be aware of ‘incels’—aka ‘involuntary celibates’: a subculture of men who generally blame women in a misogynistic/sexist fashion, rather than themselves, for their own inability to get laid.
It’s a subculture that has gained a high profile in Canada as of late after a man identified as Alek Minassian was arrested in Toronto, ON late last month after having rented a van and taken the lives of 10 people with it, while injuring over a dozen more. A social media post attributed to Minassian allegedly saw him identifying with the culture.
On last night’s episode of ‘The Jim Jefferies Show‘, Slayer guitarist Kerry King was brought out during a segment in which Jefferies was weighing in on the topic of incels. He cited King‘s lengthy sexual résumé—despite not being a conventionally ‘handsome’ man—and asked King to reveal the secret of his success with women.
