A July 06th release date has been unveiled for Immortal‘s new album “Northern Chaos Gods“. Nuclear Blast will release the album, which will not only serve as their first full-length since 2009, but also their first without frontman Abbath, who exited the group in 2015. Demonaz has since taken over the vocal duties while Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy) sat in on the bass tracks in the studio for this album. The band said of tit:
“We are eternally dedicated to Immortal and our own musical past. The album is conceptual, and the first step in the reclaiming of our past grimness and attitude. Loyalty to the fans and our own musical history is very significant in this. Our new album will soon be available, with songs from the very gates of Blashyrkh – the realm of all darkness and cold.”
