There’s been a wave of new signings in recent weeks, with a number of metal bands finding new homes. Here’s a quick rundown of who landed where:
Lucifer (ex-The Oath) have found a home with Century Media and are gearing up for a July 06th release of their new album, “Lucifer II“. Frontwoman Johanna Sadonis commented:
“We are beyond thrilled to roll our Heavy Rock tank to the monster fortress of Century Media. What better place to kick off the new chapter! This should go together like Buck Dharma and his mustache. Here’s to an unholy union!”
Metal Blade Records have picked up NWOBHM outfit Satan. That group signed a multi-album deal with the label and have just concluded recording their new album with plans to release it later in the year.
Meanwhile, Nuclear Blast have picked up Germany’s melodic black/death metal outfit The Spirit. That band will be outing touring Europe this fall with Kataklysm and Hypocrisy on this tour. They said of their new label home:
“We are very proud that we could arouse Nuclear Blast‘s interest, which is such a renowned label that has released so many great albums throughout the years. There is no doubt that this collaboration is a giant step for The Spirit. Sinister music created with high passion is what you can expect. Sounds From The Vortex is just the beginning! We are looking forward to working with Nuclear Blast in the future and we are glad that they will spread our sounds all over the globe from now on.”
