Queens Of The Stone Age

Queens Of The Stone Age Cover Elton John Track For Upcoming Tribute Album

Earlier this year Queens Of The Stone Age busted out this live cover of Elton John‘s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” with Mark Ronson during a set in Inglewood, CA. Now we have an answer as to why as it has been revealed they have tracked a cover of that very song for an upcoming Elton John tribute.

That tribute album is titled “Revamp” and will be released on April 06th. It is one of two Elton John covers albums due out on that date with “Revamp” also finding Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and more covering hits from the renowned musician. The other tribute album titled “Restoration” will primarily see country artists covering Elton‘s songs.

Of course this is not Queens Of The Stone Age‘s first foray into Elton John¬†territory as John himself guested on Queens Of The Stone Age‘s 2013 song “Fairweather Friends“.
