Korn Have Reportedly Been In The Studio For A New Album (Updated)

Update – March 14th, 2018 – 02:08pm:

Cage 9 were recently in the studio with the band, with the apparent sessions having been taking place at frontman Jonathan Davis‘ own Bakersfield, CA studio. The below shot of that was shared and reveals Davis has also been in attendance:

Original Story:

While frontman Jonathan Davis will be out this spring/summer touring in support of his forthcoming new solo album (his Korn bandmate Ray Luzier will join him at those shows,) it appears other members of Korn have been busily writing and recording a new album.

Notably the band’s guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer appeared live from the studio at a recent screening/panel for the ‘Mind Over Matter‘ documentary, in which members of Korn appear. That film centers around the inspiring journey of an aspiring guitarist who suffers from cerebral palsy and was directed by longtime Korn videographer Sébastien Paquet.

In the below tweet made regarding his appearance, Shaffer was billed as having been recording a new album with Korn. Notably, Korn also sent out a birthday wish to Breaking Benjamin‘s Ben Burnley a few days ago that saw the majority of the group convened together as well. Of course, with the band set to return to the road next week, it could be possible they are just rehearsing.

Happy Birthday to our buddy @benjaminburnleybb ????????????
