Machine Head Postpone More Shows As Robb Flynn Struggles With Illness

Machine Head vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn has taken ill, which has led to the band postponing a number of shows. Having  already recently missed a few shows as a result of that, Flynn is set to meet with a throat specialist, stating that the vocal problems he is currently experiencing, particularly with his heavy vocals, are “kind of scary.”

In the below video, he mentions that he had hoped four days off would alleviate the illness, which he caught while on the road. He also laments in the clip that should he not be able to overcome the sickness in time, the rest of the tour may be cancelled and will already count as a financial loss due to the amount of missed shows.

As it stands, tonight’s planned show in Des Moines, IA has been postponed, as has tomorrow’s show in Madison, WI. The remaining dates of the tour the band may or may not be able to play include:

02/22 Minneapolis, MN – First Avenue
02/23 Chicago, IL – Concord MH
02/24 Saint Louis, MO – Pops
02/27 Denver, CO – Summit MH
03/01 Las Vegas, NV – House Of Blues
03/02 Los Angeles, CA – Fonda
03/03 Oakland, CA – The Fox Theater
03/05 Portland, OR – Roseland
