Ex-Black Label Society guitarist Nick “Evil Twin” Catanese, 46, has plead guilty to charges of unlawful contact, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. The charges stem from an online conversation Catanese had with a 14-year-old female music student, in which he was found to have sent her sexually explicit messages and images.
Since leaving Black Label Society in 2013, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report that Catanese, who resides in Findlay, PA, had been more recently serving as an instructor at the School of Rock Castle Shannon in Pittsburgh, PA. Catanese had already been terminated from that job at the school following an incident with a previous female student at the time of his arrest.
The school’s owner, David Blackrick was alerted to Catanese‘s behavior by the 14-year-old female student mentioned first above. Blackrick contacted the police regarding it, who arrested Catanese this past April on the charges.
According to the victim, Catanese had been sending the 14-year-old female photos of his penis on Instagram while also requesting nude photos of her and describing various sex acts. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report that he was sentenced to five years of probation, 25 years as a registered sex offender, to avoid contact with minors and barred from internet-capable computers.
