Maynard James Keenan On Ejecting Fans For Filming Live Shows: “Unplug And Enjoy The Ride”

Maynard James Keenan‘s various projects, be it Tool, Puscifer or A Perfect Circle, have long enforced a policy of no photos/filming during their live shows. A recent report over at MetalSucks has word that A Perfect Circle‘s show at the Santander Arena in Reading, PA this past Saturday, November 04th, saw over 60 people ejected from the venue for violating the policy, which was displayed in advance.

Speaking via Instagram, the venue’s general manager, David Farrar replied to fans angry about the situation. He in part stated:

“talk to Manyard.. [sic] this was 110% the bands policy and has been for TOOL, APC, and Pusicifer.. [sic] it’s not a new policy.”

One fan did just that on a recent Puscifer post and got a reply from Keenan himself. In the below post, Keenan responded to a fan’s complaint about the policy via the comments, stating:

“No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and and enjoy the ride.”

A Perfect Circle are currently out on this North American tour and it seems you may want to leave your phone in your pocket if you plan to attend.
