Today, August 22nd, would have been the 50th birthday of late Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley. In honor of that, the band have shared the below video in which his former bandmates and friends reflect on him. Staley died back in 2002 due to a drug overdose.
Alice In Chains themselves are thought to have been in the studio recently working on their next album with guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell stating during an appearance yesterday (August 21st) on the ‘Trunk Nation‘ show:
“We’re in the process of cobbling together some tunes, and hopefully in the very near future we’ll have something out for you guys.”
