Kerry King Has Written A Slayer Song About Trump’s “Nonsense” & Republicans “Fucking Things Up”

Earlier this year Slayer frontman/bassist Tom Araya posted a photoshopped picture of U.S. President Donald Trump alongside the band, that along with some questionable comments made by Araya, led to a wave of backlash. The band’s guitarist Kerry King issued his own statement on the matter at the time, stating that he and Araya had a difference of opinion about the photo.

In a newly shared interview with King conducted by snowboardmag.com, he reveals that he has written a song that was inspired by Trump‘s “nonsense” as well as the Republican party. He said of that:

“I think Trump is a more individual ideology, for sure. The band, you know, whenever I try and address political songs, which we do, I can’t say we don’t, but I will base it on the US Government because that’s the government I know, but I try to make it vague enough so that anyone in any country can relate to it.

I hate my chancellor, or, I hate my prime minister, I hate my government, I try to make it so that anyone can get something out of it, because if it was pinpointed at America, only Americans would love that song – or hate that song depending on what I say in it. I have one on the next record that is basically about Trump’s nonsense, but it’s really going to be about the republicans just fucking things up.”

Slayer finished out the sessions for their latest album “Repentless” with a surplus of additional songs, though Tom Araya has mentioned that some “business matters” needed to be addressed before the next chapter of the band unfolds.
