Fozzy’s Chris Jericho Further Explains Heated Altercation With Fan In NYC

Fozzy frontman/WWE wrestler Chris Jericho was recently seen in a verbal altercation outside the Irving Plaza in New York City, NY. Jericho was in attendance at a tribute show to Adrenaline Mob bassist David Zablidowsky, who died in a horrific traffic accident last month. TMZ shared the below footage of the altercation with Jericho initially issuing the below response:

David Z was a good friend of mine and I was mentally and emotionally shattered after paying tribute to him and essentially saying goodbye to him Friday night.

I was not in a good state of mind at that time and instead of ignoring a pushy (aka rude) fan which is what I would usually do, I snapped. My apologies to all involved and God bless David Z.”

Jericho further explained his actions on the latest episode of his ‘Talk Is Jericho‘ podcast, he told his guest Mike Tyson of the incident:

“I was at a memorial concert for a friend of mine who passed away. And I had some fans outside—you know fans can be very pushy at times, and very rude at times. You know the type right? So the guy was asking me some questions and being kind of pushy and I just basically, I had enough. I told him go away and he got mad at me so I started yelling at him screaming and I was just really frustrated. I was in a bad state of mind cause my friend had just passed away. And the next thing you know it’s up on TMZ, Jericho yells at fan, drops f-bombs, and it’s like… it’s so funny.”

“You come at me at a time when my friend has passed away, early in his life. I don’t want to talk to anybody—I’m not in a good mood.”
