Toni Cornell, the 12-year-old daughter of late Soundgarden, etc. frontman Chris Cornell, took to the stage with OneRepublic on ‘Good Morning America‘ today. Together they covered Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” in tribute to both Cornell and late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. Bennington himself performed “Hallelujah” at Cornell‘s funeral. OneRepublic vocalist Ryan Tedder commented of the cover:
“Chester sang this at Chris’ funeral, and this is arguably one of the greatest songs written in the last 50 years. It’s a very special song to us, and I think to most people and especially to Toni as well.”

The performance spot on ‘Good Morning America‘ was originally booked for Linkin Park, who had to cancel in the wake of Bennington‘s suicide last month.
