Metallica played a partial cover of Van Halen‘s “Running With The Devil” during their July 29th set at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. The jam preceded their performance of “Seek & Destroy” and the band themselves shared the below footage of it.
The same set also saw the group dedicate their performance of “The Unforgiven” to late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. During the end of the song Metallica vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield can be heard saying “we forgive you Chester.”
