Counterparts Premiere “No Servant Of Mine”, Vocalist To Miss Immediate ‘Vans Warped Tour’ Shows

Counterparts have premiered their new song “No Servant Of Mine” from their new album “You’re Not You Anymore“. You can hear the track below via Metal Injection with the band’s vocalist Brendan Murphy offering:

“‘No Servant‘ is about relationships failing whether they be romantic, platonic or business oriented. One way or another, the connection between two or more people is gone and we have to carry on knowing that it may be for the better. The song is my way of saying “If you no longer care, then go. You don’t need to stay because you owe me nothing.”

You’re Not You Anymore” will land in stores on September 29th through Pure Noise. In related news, Murphy will be absent for the next two upcoming ‘Vans Warped Tour‘ dates in Bonner Springs, KS and Dallas, TX. Members of Knocked Loose, Movements and Being As An Ocean will be filling in for him at those shows. He commented:

“After our set today I’m flying home for a family emergency so for the KS and Dallas dates of Warped our friends will be stepping in to sing shout out to Knocked Loose, Movements, Being As an Ocean for helping us out through a rough time. Love you guys. It’ll be just like karaoke but exclusively Counterparts songs… kind of a bummer but w/ec it’ll be fun.”
