The Los Angeles County coroner has confirmed the cause of death for Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington. The coroner’s office spokesman Ed Winter has confirmed today (July 21st) that Bennington‘s death yesterday was a result of hanging. The 41-year-old was found hanging from a door in his bedroom in his Palos Verdes Estates, CA residence. Winters confirmed that a half-empty bottle of alcohol was found in the room. There were no signs of drugs, nor was a suicide note found. An autopsy is to be performed, though not yet scheduled, with toxicology results likely to surface in the coming weeks.
