Various Hollywood A-listers and musicians have rallied together behind late Soundgarden, etc. frontman Chris Cornell‘s planned “Keep The Promise” campaign. Prior to his death last month, Cornell had made plans to donate all proceeds from his song “The Promise” to refugee related charities. Cornell had penned the song for the movie of the same name which stars Christian Bale, Oscar Isaac and more and deals with the Armenian Genocide.
Though Cornell is now sadly gone, his family, friends and fans have chosen to pick up where he left off with the campaign. Actors Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Ryan Gosling and more have lent their voices. As has Cornell‘s close friend, actor Josh Brolin.
Cher, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Serj Tankian and more lend their support as well in the below video for the campaign, which was shared via People.com.
Cornell himself also appears in the video, giving voice to the project. More on Cornell‘s hopes for the campaign can be found at the aforementioned link.
