Linkin Park‘s divisive new album “One More Light” earned the band their sixth #1 album on Billboard‘s Top 200 Albums in the United States. Billboard.com report that “One More Light” debuted at the top spot with 111,000 units sold during its first week in the U.S., 100,000 of which were traditional album sales. It’s the band’s first #1 since 2012’s “Living Things“, which opened with 223,000 copies in its first week.

Linkin Park‘s previous album, 2014’s rock leaning “The Hunting Party“, debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #3 with 110,000 copies sold in its first week in the United States. Interestingly, only nine rock bands have topped Billboard Top 200 Albums chart six times, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, U2, Metallica and a few others.
