TMZ are citing an unidentified source allegedly involved with the investigation into Chris Cornell‘s suicide in a troubling new report. Though there’s been no official confirmation yet on the matter and toxicology tests are still pending, TMZ are claiming to have solid info that Cornell had “obvious” track marks on his arm during the time of his passing. Such marks often indicate intravenous drug usage. Thus far there’s been no official acknowledgement of the matter.

Cornell had previously struggled with drugs in the past, though was largely thought to have been past them following years of treatment and recovery. Meanwhile, earlier this week TMZ also ran this report that suspected Cornell may have been ‘high’ during his final show with Soundgarden in Detroit, MI. That report cited the opinion of Ted Keedick, who had been doing the sound and tour managing the trek and was working Cornell‘s final show with the band.

Footage from that show can be found below. Cornell hung himself at the MGM Grand in Detroit, MI following that May 17th performance. Cornell‘s widow Vicky believes an improper dose of his anxiety medication may have impaired his judgement.
