The Cavalera Brothers Blocked Sepultura From Using Certain Songs In New Documentary

Some feuds will never die it seems, the one between Sepultura and former band members Max and Igor Cavalera being among them. According to Otávio Juliano, director of Sepultura‘s new documentary, ‘Sepultura Endurance‘, the two Cavalera brothers blocked the band from using earlier music they appeared on in that documentary.

Juliano told Folha De S.Paulo that the two brothers hold half the rights to the songs and wouldn’t clear the band’s use of live performances with their current lineup of certain tracks. “Roots” and “Attitude” were cited as examples that the band were not granted permission to include. The documentary was recently screened with home release details still pending. Max has previously shared disparaging remarks for his former band in the past.
